The Power of Connection – Writers need it!
By Krissy Baccaro One of the most important things you can do in life is to connect with others. Families need connection, communities need it, schools need it and WRITERS need it. Connecting with others, provides us an opportunity to build and strengthen our relationships as well as building trust by supporting each other. We feel inspired, valued and grateful when we connect with other people as we work together towards something important. We are far more successful working together than working alone. Buried Secrets: Where the mystery begins
Buried Secrets begins at the tail end of summer in upstate New York in the quaint little town of Skaneateles. Just a short drive down West Lake Street sits a cozy cottage squarely on the lake. The cottage belongs to Ella’s grandparents and is not far from the famous Sherwood Inn, the Blue Water Grill where Ella used to work and St. James’ Episcopal Church, where she would have gotten married. I’m excited to share that I’ve been working on my latest short story, “Luca”. Luca is the antagonist in my novel, Buried Secrets and he is a deeply troubled man with a secret he’s been keeping for decades. Up until recently, no one knew about this secret. Hidden notes are discovered, and a series of clues are revealed following the death of Luca’s brother, resulting in one determined character, intent on peeling away all the layers until a truth is finally exposed.
